Medicine is the use of herbs in various forms to promote wellness.
There is a long history of utilizing nature’as gifts of the medicinal
and culinary plants to promote health and rid the body of disease.
There are vitalistic herbalists and those who use more “standardized” forms
of herbs. The practice and training to utilize herbs as medicine is
varied. Some of the trained professionals who work with herbs as medicine
include: clinical herbalists, naturopathic physicians, traditional
healers with chinese, ayurvedic and native american systems. There
are also numerous opportunities for the general public to study and
explore how to incorporate herbs into one’as life and health.
