Definition: Prenatal education process for mother and fathers
to be. Offered widely at community hospitals and health offices. Natural
childbirth
education has evolved over the past generation into a model based on
some of the great childbirth education titles (not widely discussed
in hospital/medical settings) such as: The Immaculate Deception (II)
by Suzanne Arms, or Birthing from Within, or Birth Partners by Penny
Simpkin. Natural Childbirth Education recognizes birth as a normal
process of life, and seeks to instill the full knowledge of freedom
of choice for birthing families. Education is built upon non-fear based
models of preparation that empower parents to strengthen their intuition
and trust in the birth process. PRACTITIONERS
